The other day I made apple pies for the first time all by myself. The crust was a little tricky and didn't turn out as pretty as I wanted, but boy they sure tasted good! My husband enjoyed them very much, and I was also able to share them with my brother-in-law and my parents and sibs when they were here.
I used my grandma's recipe for pie crust. Hers is always AMAZING and it's quite forgiving and foolproof!
For two pies I used eleven apples. I had to pull out the biggest bowl I own, for the first time, to hold all the sliced apples!
