               Joshua 1:9 (my confirmation verse)

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
           Psalm 1:1-2

and you forgave the iniquity of my sin....
You are my hiding place.
            Psalm 32:5,7

Come, my children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days,
keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies.
Turn from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it.
                              Psalm 34:11-14

God is our refuge and strength, an ever- present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging...
The LORD Almighty is with us;
The God of Jacob is our fortress...

                              Psalm 62:1-2

Better is one day in your courts
than a thousand elsewhere;

no good thing does he withhold
from those whose walk is blameless.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
As a father has compassion on his children,
so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him.

So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'  For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own.  -Jesus (Matthew 7:31-34)

Go an make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.  -Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20)

But at the beginning of creation God 'made them male and female.'  'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.'  So they are no longer two, but one.  Therefore what God joins together, let man not separate.  - Jesus (Mark 10:6-9)
