Meet one of Arlee Bird's 2013 A to Z Challenge Ambassadors!
Yup, that would be me! I'm SO excited, and honored, to be one of five bloggers working with Lee to be a monitor, cheerleader, and worker with the Blogging from A to Z Challenge. Basically, I get to read a LOT of blogs, see how they're contributing to the Challenge, and cheer them on! Sounds like a job designed for me.
These are the other members of Lee's team, with links to their blogs:
Judy at raisingthecurtain.net
Tim Brannan at The Other Side and his secondary blog that he co-runs Red Sonja: She Devil with a Sword
If you haven't heard about it before, the Blogging from A to Z Challenge is just what it sounds like. During the month of April, I'll write a post every day with the subject beginning with the letter of the alphabet assigned for that day. So Monday, April 1st, the subject will start with "A," the 2nd "B" and so on. Sundays we don't have to post.
The "challenge" for me will be actually coming up with a topic for every letter--especially "Q," "V", "U," "Y" and "Z"! I'm starting to plan out my post topics already so hopefully by the middle of March I can start writing and scheduling posts.
If you happen to be a blogger I have good news for you--you can participate, too! This is like a MASSIVE link-up (there are hundreds of participants already), so every day your link in the list will be updated, and other Challenge participants will visit your blog. Click on THIS link to sign up, and THIS one for answers to some questions about it.
The idea is to build community, so whether you have five followers or five hundred, this is a great opportunity for you to get to know other blogs and to get your own blog "out there."
Personally, I'm praying that this will be an opportunity for me to share the love of Jesus and the good news of his life, death, and resurrection (for US!) with even more people! I'm so excited to have this opportunity.
If you don't follow me already, please do so now so you don't miss any of my posts for the Challenge in April! You can follow via Google Friend Connect, email, or other blog readers.
What do you think? Would you like to participate in a blogging challenge like this?
Wonderful introduction, I too look forward to be working with you.
ReplyDeleteI have done all the A to Z Challenges in verse.
Enjoy your week-end.
Yvonne.
Thanks Yvonne! :)
DeleteCongrats on your ambassadorship! I hear it's a lot of work! I'm doing A-Z again this year, and Q and X give me fits!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I think I might be a little crazy for getting myself into this, but I am SO excited!! I've figured out Q... X is going to be a challenge, lol. :)
DeleteCongratulations on your new role in the Challenge!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's quite an honor :)
DeleteGlad to meet you through A to Z Jaimie! Congrats on being an Ambassador!
ReplyDeleteJulie
Thanks! I enjoyed visiting your blog! :)
DeleteHi, I had a couple of questions about it... 1. What do I do if I accidentally miss a day? Do I just double up? 2. Do we have to read other people's blogs every day? I mean, can you participate even if you don't visit other blogs *every* day?
ReplyDeleteThe "Challenge" IS that you post every day--but you don't have to WRITE every day! If you use Blogger, there's an option on your posting page to preschedule your posts. I'll be doing this for many of my A-Z posts. You write the post ahead of time, set the date and time for when you want it to automatically publish, and hit "Publish." In your post list it will be marked "Scheduled." It will automatically appear on your blog the time you specified, and you don't have to even think about it!
DeleteYou don't have to read other blogs every day, but part of the point of the challenge is to get to know other bloggers and for them to get to know you. The more you visit other blogs and comment on them, the more people will get to find out about you and will come visit (and hopefully follow) your blog.
I hope this helps!
If you have any other questions, feel free to comment or email me, and for answers to any other question you might have please visit the Challenge blog: http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/
Yes, that helps. Thank you. :)
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your blog. I've been reading it for a while, but I don't usually comment.
I'm glad it helps! :)
DeleteAnd thank you SO much. It's great to know people are reading!! And I love getting comments, so thanks for writing one today. :) You're a blessing!
This sounds so cool! I looked it up and have signed up! I can't wait for the challenge :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic, Mallory!! I'm so excited to see what you write about! Start planning and scheduling your posts now so it'll be easier to keep up, and so you can visit more of the other bloggers, come April. :) It's nice to have a friend doing the challenge, too! :)
DeleteI will start scheduling posts that is a good idea especially when we get to letters that are a little bit harder to come up with something. I can't wait to read what people come up with :)
